final

Artist Reflection Questions

1. My art work is about a red lantern at different angles and a white balcony to add contrast.
2. I choose this theme because I feel that It was Ironic to do a lantern (which is an item usually associated with fall and Halloween) in spring. Also I feel the red contrasts the green and white well.
3. I achieved this theme by taking pictures of the lantern at different angles show different colors. Though my high depth did not come out like I wanted.
4. I composed the frame  the frame of the third one down by getting close to the lantern and getting an high angle over it so it was easier to focus on the ground. I also pointed it towards my yellow house to get another angle on it
5. On the bottom one I used directional lines so the railings pointed towards the lantern. I also used the rule of 9ths where I put my lantern and vertical post.
6.What I did was I used levels to brighten up the pictures then used color contrast to make it less green and then made the lantern redder so it stood out more.
7. The strongest image in my opinion was the high depth of field one as that one I fell demonstrated what I wanted to do best. It go the most colors into it and turned out just in general well.
8. The weakest one was the the low depth as I think it turned out to be all depth and did not just compare to the others as well.
9. Yes I would probably change the the angles I used and the shutter speed to lighten the pictures a bit more. Also I would want to create more texture as I feel they all a bit bland.

Artist Reflection questions

The strongest aspect of my work I believe was the right bowl as that one I feel shaded well. I feel that if I used more colors it would had made it look better. So next time become more precise with my color changes. The easiest part of this activity was filling in the colors between the red lines I created. The most difficult part was probably the shading and mixing in as it took a couple times to make it look right. The tool I used the most was the brush to paint the colors in and mix them together. I demonstrated the objective by finding a picture and converting it to a painting drawn by me. Create more precise colors.

Artist Reflection

The strongest aspect of my work is my use of Photoshop as all the pictures were not perfectly in line and I feel I did a good job of lining them up again and shading out the crooked parts. I feel I could of made it a lot easier on myself if I lined up the pictures better. This could be improved by taking quick pictures and touching the camera as little as possible. Taking the pictures as it was very quick as easy to do. It was also easy to position Mat. It was hard photo shopping the picture and lining up the photos as they were not in line when I took them. I used the move tool and the paintbrush tool to get the Mat clones in the picture. I used the move tool to layer the pictures and the paint brush to get Mat into the picture. I demonstrate the objective by using cloning well and showing I know how to use Photoshop. I am very happy and would not change a thing.

Light photography

The strongest aspect of my work i believe in these pictures was the objects used as I don't believe I would of gotten the same effect if I used a disco ball or a magic wand.  I think it worked well as I was able to create designs such as Z's and was able to get my partner to spin the light stick around in a circle and try to recreate a peace sign( easier said then done). I could improve on the sharpness of the light mat did not keep the light straight enough. The easy part was telling mat what kinds of shapes he should try to imitate as some of them tuned out a bit odd. The hardest part was diffidently trying to Photoshop the picture as the lights did not agree with the levels. In photo shop I used mostly levels but this was a challenge as to make the light perfect you have to use multiple levels of pictures each altered to get a good glow. This was especially hard for the last one. I demonstrated this project by trying to make a peace sign and failing and the work "HI" and failing. I a pretty happy with my project as I think Mat and I did well.

depth of field project

I believe that the best part of my photos is my use of high depth as that came a lot easier then low depth to me. I felt that I captured the flower well and blurred the back group well especially with my lilac. I believe my low depth could be worked on as it is on the line of being all depth. I think I could use the focus better to help this. The easiest thing for me was finding things to take pictures of as it was the start of spring and flowers were starting to bloom. The most difficult part of this project was my low depth as it frustrated me to take the pictures multiple times and only two of them really working. I demonstrated the objective of this project by blurring areas that need to be blurred for the picture to be considered low or high depth. If I did this art project again I would Take better low depth pictures so it was easier for me to Photoshop.
